Thought I’d share how I fixed the following issue: When starting a new video in Movie Player/Totem, it would start in Fullscreen without option to restore the window. After a quick google, I found that if you’re running Compiz (which I am) it’s only a matter of switching from Metacity, opening the video and restoring the size and then returning to compiz. Of course this is easily accomplished with the fusion-icon, which should be in most repositories under “fusion-icon”.

Well I finally got around to installing and configuring Archlinux like I’ve wanted for so long. Took me a little while (lucky for me I printed off the installation manual) to finish the complete installation, learn how to install things (via pacman) and customize the interface to my liking. Running the latest Arch and Gnome/comiz-fusion. Firefox (Gran Paradiso), conky and a nautilus window are viewable in this screenshot. Using ElegantBrit for gtk and emerald themes. After awhile of housing my own installation of WordPress on my own domain, I’ve decided to kill it and move on to the free wordpress.com. I never really used it all that often to justify the monthly fee. So I’ll try and import or copy over some of the posts I had on my other site, stockground.net, and publish them here. As well as look into brining my feeds from dA, Last.fm, Digg. Facebook, Twitter and del.icio.us.
